SPA DIRECTOR NICOLAY KREIDLER JOINS
WYNDHAM MARTINEAU BAY RESORT & SPA VIEQUES, PR (July, 10 2004)
Wyndham International, Inc. (AMEX:WBR) has appointed Nicolay Kreidler as the new spa director for the Wyndham Martineau Bay Resort and Spa.
"Kreidler's proficiency in the healing arts is complemented by a remarkable environmental and culinary background that will serve our spa, and the resort, very well," said General Manager Ben Tutt. "We are very pleased to welcome him to our team."
"The Wyndham Martineau Bay has all of the right components to be
a true spa destination," commented Kreidler. "An important part of that
will be integrating indigenous treatments and local practitioners into
the spa experience here." Among the treatments Kreidler plans to introduce
are Aroma Fango, which will use local flora in a three-step process of
exfoliation, massage and aromatherapy, as well as sunburn relief and heat
sensitivity treatments appropriate to the tropical island locale.
Kreidler served most recently in Hawaii as general manager, director of
operations, and principal massage therapist for the Kalani Oceanside Retreat,
which offers wellness vacations and workshops. Prior to that, he served
as consulting general manager for L'aakea Gardens Hawaii, a not-for-profit
organization that models and teaches sustainable agriculture practices.
During this time, he also led 11-day massage intensive training workshops.
A board-certified massage therapist, Kreidler spent a two-year period
studying the healing arts in the U.S., India, Indonesia and Hawaii. While
in California, he trained massage practitioners in watsu, aquatic bodywork,
hypnotherapy training and other techniques at Harbin Hot Springs School
of Shiatsu and Massage.
In 1988, Kreidler created Europe's largest vegetarian restaurant, Vollwertrestaurant
Amaranth in Nørnberg, which he owned and directed until 1996. He also
provided advisory services to Klasse 2000, a non-profit organization designed
to help grade-school children avoid substance abuse through positive body-awareness.
